BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY

(360 CREDITS – NQA LEVEL 7)

PURPOSE:

The Bachelor of Theology aims to equip people with a comprehensive foundation for professional Christian ministry, leadership, and further scholarship.

Upon successful completion, graduates can exercise a ministry of Christian leadership with their local church or Christian organization. Holders of the qualification can pastor churches and/or take leadership roles within Christian organizations, providing relevant theological insight into the issues of the day. They are expected to interact meaningfully with the leading thinkers and writers of the community.

ARTICULATION OPPORTUNITIES:

Holders of the qualification would be eligible to move on to post-graduate study.
Outcomes of the whole qualification
Holders of this qualification can:
1. Evaluate and develop their personal faith in the light of Christian theology to grow in godliness;
2. Interpret, apply, and engage with other understandings of the Bible;
3. Critically analyze and evaluate Christian Theology, and develop appropriate contextual theology;
4. Understand the world of ideas and its development;
5. Apply skills necessary for professional ministry, leadership, organization, and further study, such as Bible teaching, leadership, organization, and theological research.

Curriculum requirements: In addition to completion of Diploma in Ministry and Diploma in Theology courses (with a total of 240 CP), Bachelor of Theology students are required to complete the following courses.
