MODE & pURPOSE:
This course is offered as a one-year course for NETS day students and a three-year part-time course for NETS@Night students. NETS plans to expand the qualification to identified regions soon.
The Certificate in Theology (Level 4) aims to equip people at a basic level for supervised ministry responsibilities in churches and communities and further theological studies.
Upon successful completion, graduates will have a good basic knowledge and understanding of the Bible and Christian theology. Holders of the qualification can take an active role in their communities as committed Christians and be involved in diverse Christian ministries with some support and supervision.
Articulation Opportunities:
Those who have also completed the two additional courses, Academic English 1 and Academic English 2, would be eligible to move on to the Diploma in Ministry (Level 5).
Outcomes of the whole qualification
Holders of the qualification would be able to:
1. Demonstrate a broad base of biblical knowledge
2. Demonstrate a broad understanding of basic Christian theology
3. Able to comprehend the meaning of their faith in the light of basic Christian theology to grow in godliness
4. Use basic skills in supervised ministry (such as basic Bible teaching, and interpersonal relationships)
