Diploma in Ministry

The NETS Diploma in Ministry (NQF Level 5) is designed to equip people for supervised ministry and lower-level leadership within churches, Christian organisations and Community organisations. Graduates from this program are equipped with the skills to:

  • live a godly life.
  • understand, interpret and adequately apply the Bible today.
  • serve in Christian pastoral ministry through bible teaching, counselling, leadership, and organisational management.
  • apply skills necessary for supervised ministry and Christian leadership such as bible teaching and counseling.

Graduates from the Diploma in Ministry program is eligible to continue studying at Diploma in Theology (NQF level 6).

Requirements:

  • To be admitted directly into the Diploma in Ministry program students must have completed Grade 12 matriculation with a minimum of 23 points – including at least a D in English.
  • Students who do not meet the requirements for direct entry into the Diploma in Ministry program may be admitted by first completing the Certificate in Theology program (NQF Level 4) plus two additional courses in Academic English with a grade point average of at least 50%.
