Rev. Misseline Gordon
B.Th. Hons (NETS), Namibia.
MATE (LST-Validated by Middlesex University, London, UK)
Principal- Academic Dean & Lecturer (Biblical Studies and Spiritual Formation)
The board appointed Rev. Gordon as the new Principal, retaining her as academic dean too. She served last year as acting principal and took office as principal in January 2025. Rev Gordon graduated from NETS in 2002 with a Bachelor of Theology, and then in 2017 with a Bachelor of Theology Honors. She successfully completed her Master of Arts in Theological Education (MATE) at the London School of Theology in London (2022). Her dissertation was on Spiritual Formation, aiming to understand the role of Spiritual Formation in the NETS context. This fits well with her calling to see people led and restored into Christlikeness.
“The evidence from her study suggests that Spiritual Formation is an essential component of theological education and that academics must not take precedence over it. As long as NETS’ primary purpose is to prepare and train students for church and other Christian leadership, it must strive to maintain a healthy balance between academics, spiritual formation, and ministerial skills” (Gordon, 2022).
Being an ordained minister of the Rhenish Church in Namibia (2004 to date), her studies could serve the Church in Namibia in various ways, especially in developing theological educational programs for the Church. She joined the faculty in 2019 and was appointed as the first female academic dean in November 2021. She has been pursuing her doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary since January 2025.
